Rain in the Jardin Luxembourg

Escaping from the dusty necropolis of the catacombs into the summer heat of a stormy afternoon we jumped the metro at Mouton Duvernet and headed across town to Jardin Luxembourg.

I kind of like that point just before the storm hits, when you can feel the temperature dropping and smell the rain on dry earth. Even better when you’re in the Luxembourg garden and it empties of people leaving the garden almost deserted. And even better yet, to walk holding hands under the trees, as the rain whispers through the branches.
