One of the good things, perhaps the only good thing, about jet lag is that when you wake up, you really really wake up.

So if you’re suddenly awake at 6am in the morning in Paris there’s a great opportunity to go exploring, without the madding crowds. Which is exactly what we decided to do.

Sacre Couer, in the empty early morning, with the sun shining and only the sound of the garbage men cleaning up to disturb the peace. What a difference a few hours makes…
